1. What is STEAM?
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics
2. What age groups does STEMGenius work with?
STEMGenius works with kids and young adults from the age of 5-18 (K-12) some exceptions are given to kids slightly below and above the preferred age bracket
3. Is there any criteria for enrolling my child in STEMGenius program?
No. STEMGenius programs are open to all kids and young adults between the age of 5-18 years, we believe STEAM programs should be opportunity for every student
4. Why is STEAM education important?
STEM education is important as it encourages kids and young adults to be critical thinkers, problems solvers and lifelong learners. Additionally STEM increases literacy and math skills, helps students reflect meaningfully on their work and that of their peers and prepares students for the jobs of the future
5. What is the diffrence between STEM and STEAM?
The STEM to STEAM movement has been taking root over the past several years and is surging forward as a positive mode of action to truly meet the needs of a 21st century economy. STEM alone misses several key components that many employers, educators, and parents have voiced as critical for children to thrive in the present and rapidly approaching future, because its currently limited to only Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Economies on the other hand require creativity, problem solving and innovation to attain greater potential leading to incorporation of Arts element on our program
6. Is there a specific assessment center FOR STEM?
No. However all STEM activities are tested in the normal school curriculums and built around concepts learnt at school
7. What is GeniusMaths?
GeniusMaths is a platform for kids and young adults to interact with maths through gamification. It also allows students to learn real application of maths concepts through visualization and story telling
