FAQs
STEMGENIUS is a hands-on STEM education organization for children and teens aged 5–18 across Africa. We don't just teach children about technology - we give them opportunities to build with it, from their first Scratch animation to Arduino-powered prototypes and real web applications.
We offer five core learning pathways: Scratch Coding, Arduino Robotics, Python Programming, Backend Development and Frontend Development, plus tailored school programs, school holiday programs, summer programs and STEM camps.
Our programs are designed for learners aged 5–18, from complete beginners to advanced young creators. Every learning pathway runs through three levels - Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced - with 8 sessions per level, so learners can progress at their own pace.
Younger learners (5–13) usually start with block coding in Scratch. Learners aged 10+ can start Python, Arduino robotics or web development depending on whether they want to code, build electronics or create digital experiences. If you are unsure, contact us and we will recommend the right pathway.
No. Our Beginner levels assume no prior experience. Learners start with simple, guided projects and build up their skills step by step until they can design original projects of their own.
Depending on the pathway: interactive games, animations and stories in Scratch; responsive automated prototypes with Arduino and sensors; Python programs and challenges; and real web applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python frameworks. Every program is project-based, so learning happens through building.
Yes. We work with schools to design customized STEM programs based on learner age, class size, timetable, available technology and learning goals. Programs can run as regular lessons, clubs, enrichment programs or special STEM initiatives covering Scratch, Arduino Robotics, Python, Backend and Frontend Development. Our school holiday and summer programs turn breaks into building time, with short intensive experiences or structured multi-session learning pathways. Our STEM camps add Art & Engineering, Science Discovery and Arduino circuitry for hands-on exploration beyond the classroom.
Simply get in touch through our contact page. We will help you pick the right program, level and schedule for your child.
Yes. Each pathway follows a structured Beginner to Advanced journey of 8 sessions per level. Learners finish each level with project-building skills and the confidence to take on bigger challenges in the next one.
